Melbourne, Australia, 13 September 2022 -- Salesian Missions Australia has begun a Province wide campaign to support the very important work of our teachers in Samoa. One of the key challenges for our schools and teachers in Samoa is the lack of resources to assist them in educating students. For this reason, Salesian Missions Australia has launched the campaign to “Sponsor a teacher, Educate a Nation”. Funds from this campaign will provide our incredible schools in Samoa with the resources, appropriate materials and training that is required and will give our young people in Samoa the best possible chance for success.

A series of videos have been produced, and will continue to be produced, to support this campaign. The latest video features two young Salesian brothers discussing why they love their roles as educators. It can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkWLlL8X4r8&t=8s. The Salesians of Don Bosco in Samoa are committed to ensuring they have a visible and active presence within both of our schools in Samoa. They are much loved by all the students and in the community at large.

We are so lucky that we have so many supporters that are invested in ensuring that our young people in Samoa have access to a good education. One really beautiful aspect of having a province that encompasses four countries (Australia, New Zealand, Samoa and Fiji) is that we are able to create strong relationships and bonds, particularly with our young people, despite the distance of the four nations.

If you would like to keep up to date with our latest videos to support this campaign, please subscribe to the “Salesian Missions Australia and Cagliero Project” You tube channel.
