Nasinu (Suva) Fiji, 28 April 2023 -- The Catholic Youth Gathering at Don Bosco Parish in Fiji was a resounding success, bringing together young Catholics from all over the country to strengthen their companionship and faith in God. The program, which started with Mass led by Father Jim Kyaw Ho, followed by a talk given by the Parish Priest, Father Taisali, sports, and ended with a social, was designed to engage the youth and inspire them to live out their Catholic faith in their everyday lives.

The Mass was a beautiful and moving experience, with Father Jim delivering a powerful homily that encouraged the youth to turn to God in times of need and to seek comfort in the love of Jesus Christ. The congregation sang hymns of praise and worship, filling the air with a spirit of joy and unity.

After the Mass, Father Taisali delivered an inspiring talk that challenged the youth to live out their faith in practical ways. He encouraged them to be leaders in their communities, to be generous with their time and talents, and to strive for excellence in all they do. Father Taisali spoke with passion and conviction, and his message resonated deeply with the young people in attendance.

Following the talk, the youth engaged in a range of sports activities, including soccer, volleyball, and basketball. These games were not only fun and entertaining, but they also provided an opportunity for the young people to bond and build friendships that will last a lifetime. The sports activities were a perfect example of how faith and fellowship can be combined to create a positive and uplifting atmosphere.

Finally, the event ended with a social, where the youth had a chance to relax and unwind, share stories and experiences, and deepen their friendships. The social was a great way to round off the day, and it provided an opportunity for the youth to reflect on the lessons learned and the connections made during the gathering.

Overall, the Catholic Youth Gathering at Don Bosco Parish in Fiji was an inspiring and transformative event. The program was well-designed, engaging, and meaningful, and it succeeded in strengthening the companionship between the future generation of the Catholic Church in Fiji. The event served as a reminder of the power of faith, fellowship, and community, and it is sure to leave a lasting impact on the lives of all those who attended.
