Nakasi (Suva) Fiji, 5 September 2023 – The first VitiBosco youth weekend camp began on Friday (25 August 2023) and concluded with the Sunday Eucharist.
The gathering of over a hundred youth was blessed to have Fr William Matthews (SDB Provincial), Sr. Louise McKeogh (FMA Provincial) together with Sr. Caroline Tevaga and Sr. Folola Sala from Samoa.
It was a weekend of spirituality and education, of sharing and being together in the Salesian Spirit and Synodality. It was a get-together where everyone felt at home, welcomed and belonged, where one’s faith was deepened, where one learned through mutual sharing, where friendships were renewed and new friends were made.
Amidst the excitement and the fun of being together, there were times for celebrating the Sacraments, for prayerful reflection, for sharing and for learning.
All were part of VitiBosco, the young, the volunteers, the Salesian Sisters, Brothers and Fathers felt the presence of the Spirit, of Don Bosco, of Mary Mozzarello. What a Salesian weekend with the young… for the young.
