Van Phuc, Vietnam, 9 September 2023 -- In the morning of 9 September, the North Viet Nam Delegation held the installation ceremony for Fr Martino Mai Quyet Thang, the new Rector of Van Phuc community. The Rector Major has approved the appointment of Fr Martino as Rector of this community for the first term of 2023 - 2026.

Fr John Baptist Tran van Hao, the Delegate, presided at the mass and the ceremony together with more than 20 Salesian priests coming from eleven communities in the delegation. Fr John Baptist Nguyen van Them gave the homily during the mass, in which he insisted on the role of the Rector according to our Salesian Constitutions. The Van Phuc community consists of 5 confreres. It is also the headquarters for the North Vietnam delegation. Fr. Martino Mai Quyet Thang is also the Youth Ministry delegate for the Delegation.
