Hua Hin, Thailand, 09 October 2023 – The Salesian Commission on Schools organized a seminar for teaching staff with ten years of service at Salesian Schools in Thailand on the theme "The Preventive System of Don Bosco" from 5-7 October 2023 at the Salesian Retreat House, Huahin, Prachuabkhirikhan Province. There were 44 teacher participants from Don Bosco Vitthaya, Huahin Vitthayalai, Don Bosco Technological College - Bangkok, Don Bosco Technological College - Banpong, and St. Dominic School - Bangkok.
The seminar began on 5 October 2023 with a liturgical service presided over by Fr. Smith Daengamphan, the Commission Head and the Director of Don Bosco Vitthaya. He also gave a special lecture.
On the 6 and 7 October 2023, Fr. Yarat Chaiyara was the principal lecturer. He revived the principles of the Preventive System and led the teachers to reflect on their actual experiences with the practice of 'reason, religion, and loving-kindness' and its effects on helping the youth grow to be good citizens and devout people of religion.
Aside from having the opportunity to reflect on their experiences of 10 years of teaching service, the teachers also had the occasion to know their fellow teachers in other Salesian schools, which helped ignite more comprehensive networking and cooperation among them in the future.
