Suva, Fiji 19 September 2023 -- Realizing that people, especially students, have many difficulties in accessing books, the Salesians of Don Bosco opened 6 small libraries for people, especially for students in areas of St John Bosco parish, Nakasi, Suva. Everyone is welcome to use the books, regardless of age or religion.

There are about 2,200 books in these small libraries of different genres: Catechism, history, comic books, novels, cooking, etc. Most of the books in the libraries come from Salesian schools and some benefactors from Australia. Sincere thanks to the Office of the Australian Salesian Missions, Australian Salesian schools and individuals who generously helped and donated these books to the people, especially the students here.

These libraries are located in family homes, so families operate them under the guidance of the Salesians here.

Through these libraries, it is hoped that people here, especially students, will have the habit of reading because we all know how beneficial reading is in life.
