Pasay City, the Philippines, November 14, 2018 -- Word & Life Magazine, the youth magazine published by Word and Life Publications, received the Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA) Hall of Fame Award for BEST YOUTH MAGAZINE this evening during the CMMA Annual Awards Night at the Star Theater, Star City, Pasay City, after receiving the Best Youth Magazine Award for five times (2004, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2017).


Fr. Salvatore Putzu, SDB, the Editor of this youth magazine, together with some members of Word And Life Publications, went up the stage to receive this Hall of Fame Trophy.


The CMMA awards night also saw some other Salesian endeavors winning in their respective categories:

  • Best Family-Oriented Magazine: FAMILY MATTERS MAGAZINE by Fr. Bernard P. Nolasco, SDB and Don Bosco Press, Inc.
  • Best Entertainment Column: BARKADA by Ms. Glady Ramos and Word and Life Publications
  • Best Comic Story: THE BREATHTAKING STORY OF FATIMA by Fr. Salvatore Putzu, SDB, Alden Sarmiento, and Dondy Daguio, and Word and Life Publications
  • Special Citation, Counselling Radio Program: LANGIT SA LUPA, by FIN Commission on Social Communications and Radyo Inquirer 990kHz
