Second presence in Kimbe is growing

Kimbe, Papua New Guinea, 11 May 2020 -- We are six sisters, two Papua New Guinean nationals and four Korean missionaries with 4 first year aspirants, one of them ready to continue her formation in Quezon City (Philippines). So far the only two local Sisters, Benedicta and Katherine, have been sent to this new community entrusted with the second Caritas Girls Secondary School in PNG.

On Sunday the Kimbe Caritas Girls school boarders celebrated the Mothers Day, open to visitors. With all the Covid19 precautions the school is already open with social distancing in the classrooms, however the ordinary classes have already been going on since last week.

The second presence in PNG - Kimbe - was opened only 3 years ago (2017) and until now most of the Sisters convent and the Secondary Technical School facilities are made with recycled containers.
