Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, 4 November 2021 -- At 8:30 a.m. 2 November 2021, at the cemetery of Don Bosco Tan Thinh parish, Cau Bong, Father Provincial Barnabas Le An Phong SDB presided at the Mass to pray for the deceased Salesians. Concelebrating with him were the SDB priests from communities in Ho Chi Minh City. Attending the Mass were the SDB Brothers, the novices, the prenovices and some parishioners.
In his homily, the Provincial shared about the meaning of living fully our vocation as a human being and looking forward to the day of farewell of life with the attitude of those who live in Christian hope.
After the Mass, the Salesians burned incense on the graves of the Salesians resting there.
Leaving the cemetery, everyone moved to Cau Bong pre-novitiate community to attend the football tournament between the novices and pre-novices, along with the Salesians from the provincial community, Ba Thon novitiate community and a Vietnamese missionary priest to Bolivia.
Finally, the meaningful day closed with an intimate family meal, leaving a deep impression and joy in the heart of each Salesian, especially in those who are in the early stages of the journey of pursuing the Salesian vocation.
