Yotsuya, Tokyo, Japan, 24 Sep 2022 – Our brother Salesian Priest, John Maria Vianney Murakami Kosuke (89 years old, 65 Religious Profession, 57 Salesian Priest) was called to the Father's home at St John's Hospital (Tokyo) where he was undergoing inpatient treatment, due to old age, at 10:45 AM, on Friday September 23, 2022.
Father Murakami was born on 10th Oct 1932 in Minato Ward, Tokyo. He took his first vows in the Salesian Congregation on March 25, 1957 and was ordained Priest on 21 December 1965.
His life was lived for the young and with the young. Over the years, he worked in children's homes. One of his characteristics is that he remembered every single child's name. He took care of the parentless children entrusted to him by the Congregation and helped them to have a good future.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude for your kindness during his life and pray for Father Murakami's eternal rest.
