Interview with Ruby Belleza,

Salesian Cooperator- Formator (FIS)

By Our Own Correspondent

Negros Island, the Philippines, 15 February 2019 -- What makes you happy as a Salesian Cooperator?

Being a teacher for Elementary Grade School children makes me happy as a Salesian Cooperator. I extend my apostolate work to my pupils by doing my teaching profession extraordinarily well and I am moulding them to be good citizens in the future.

What makes you grow in your Salesian Cooperator vocation and mission?

My faith makes me grow as a Salesian Cooperator. Through prayer, fellowship, attending the Holy Eucharist and believing the words of Don Bosco I show this to my family, pupils, relatives, elders and friends motivate them to join what I am doing.

What are the major challenges in vocation growth?

As for me, the major challenge in my vocation growth is my time. Yes, I cannot serve two masters at the same time because in the nature of my work, I sometimes cannot attend meetings and fellowship with the group.

How do you prepare yourself as a formator? What do you need for your task?

As a formator, I prepare myself through reading about the lessons to be tackled in order to motivate. In need more training and formation to master the task for one’s formation.

How do you put into practice the four pillars: Know — Know how to do? — Know how to be? ~ Know how to live in communion?

I put into practice the four pillars by knowing simple things that has something to do with ordinary people. Know how to do, to put into practise the skills that I know within myself. Know to live in communion, if I have respect, patience understanding, love towards myself, I can show also that in my community that others appreciated it.
