By Mr. Michael Hort
World President of the Don Bosco Past Pupils

During the Saturday (January 16) Mr. Michael Hort with his wife Martina did moderate the whole SF assembly in the Salesianum Aula Magna and at that occasion was also presented and distributed an ID-size depliant introducing the Identity-Values-Priorities and photos of the World Confederation of the Don Bosco Past Pupils.

All 21 present groups of the Salesian Family welcome and admired this simple but very meaningful tool of animation. The small depliant was published exactly 100 days after the conclusion of the World Assembly held in last October 2015.

WHO IS THE PAST PUPIL?

The Past Pupils of Don Bosco are persons who because they attended an Oratory, a School or another Salesian Presence, received a preparation for life, based on the principles of DB’s Preventive System: reason, religion and loving kindness. Enriched by the Christian formation and Charisma of Don Bosco we are witnesses in our daily life through our apostolic engagement based on the ‘education received’. HONEST CITIZEN and GOOD CHRISTIAN.

VALUES - The Past Pupils Movement is built upon the common values:

  • Life
  • Truth
  • Fraternity
  • Freedom
  • Solidarity
  • Communion

We support and guide our members in fulfilling these values in their daily life with professional competence. Moral conscience and social commitment: promoting the common good as stated in the Social Teaching of the Church.

MISSION

Put our knowledge and competences as lay professionals at the service of our members, the Salesian Family and Society, by fulfilling the motto: Honest Citizens and Good Christians.
