 A Reminder of unwavering faith

Tetere, Solomon Islands, 14 July 2023 -- In a moving commemoration of the Feast of Blessed Peter ToRot, Christ the King Parish in Tetere, Solomon Islands, came together for the Holy Eucharistic celebration on 9 July 2023. Parish Priest Fr. Robinson Parapilly, SDB, officiated at the Eucharist that encompassed a spirit of devotion and resilience, mirroring the inspiring life of Blessed Peter ToRot.

Amidst the celebration was the sacrament of First Holy Communion which brought forth a profound connection of the divine for young hearts. The commemoration also included the installation of a dedicated Catechist which emphasized the importance of nurturing and guiding the faithful in their spiritual journey.

Blessed Peter ToRot's unwavering commitment to religious values, even during the Japanese occupation, served as a beacon of hope and courage for the community. His stand for marriage sanctity continues to resonate, echoing the timeless truths of faith.

The Feast of Blessed Peter ToRot serves as a reminder for everyone to uphold and defend core beliefs, drawing inspiration from his exemplary life.
