Anisakan, Myanmar, 25 June 2023 -- 24 June 2023, on the Solemnity of St John the Baptist’s Nativity at the shrine of MHC, 120 Catholics received the Sacrament of Confirmation from the hands of Archbishop Marco Tin Win of Mandalay Diocese. The majority of the confirmed are from Nazareth Salesian Apostolate School and FMA settings, where a few are from the Salesian sub-parish of MHC. Due to the great number, Fr Bosco Nyi Nyi (the superior) and Fr Joseph Aung Kyaw (the parish priest) were granted the special faculty to confirm along with the Archbishop.
In his well-prepared homily, Archbishop Marco clearly explained to the confirmed what the sacrament of Confirmation means for Catholics. He also encouraged them to bear witness to Christ through their lives, especially among non-Catholics, and requested them to be faithful to God as good Catholics till the end.
Parents and teachers were very happy to see their children and their students confirmed in the Holy Catholic Faith.
