December 8th Ordinations: Paranaque - Seminaryo ng Don Bosco

PARANAQUE (Manila): December 8, 2004 -- Today, the Solemnity of the Feast of the Imaculate Conception, at 3:00 pm at the National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians - Paranaque, we witnessed the ordination to Priesthood of Rev. Joao Maria Roque Guterres, SDB (ITM) and to the Diaconate of Bro. Panganiban Clarence, SDB (FIN) by Most Reverent Bishop Teodoro Bacani, DD.
The Congregation was made up of the Paranque Salesian community, ordinands families and friends and young people from Don Bosco schools especially around Manila.

In the homily, Bishop Bacani told the ordinands that: "today the Church, the Salesian Congregation and the people of God rejoice. The reason for their rejoicing is not because they have one more deacon and priest, but because they have two more servants." He asked them to live their lives in such a way that they would be worthy of God, their vocations and their duties.
The mass ended at 5 o`clock followed by a light meal for all those invited.
