MANDALUYONG CITY (PHILIPPINES) 14 November, 2013- The feast of Blessed Artemide Zatti was celebrated with such solemnity in EAO Salesian Brothers Community in Paranaque, Philippines. The community prepared for the feast with a nine-day prayer to Bl. Zatti, and the reading of his life. On the feast itself, a solemn mass was presided by Fr. Anthony Nguyen Ngoc Dung, SDB, In-Charge of the formation center. He challenged the brothers to imitate Bl. Zatti by living a holier life day after day by imitating the heroic virtues of this Brother. Likewise, they were also challenged to pray for more vocations to the Brotherhood.

In the afternoon, the EAO Salesian Brothers community joined the EPC of Don Bosco Technical College in Mandaluyong in celebrating the Golden Anniversary of Religious profession of Br. The solemn mass was presided by Fr. More than 20 FIN Salesian Brothers and a brother from FIS were present. Fr. Provincial encouraged and congratulated the jubilarians in their fidelity to their profession. He asked to brothers to stand be recognized by the EPC where he challenged the young people so that some of they may follow the Salesian way of life as Lay Brothers.

During the offertory, the students offered any amount of money that they can sacrifice and collected relief goods for the Typhoon victims. Fr. Marty Macasaet, SDB, DBTC rector also told us that instead of holding the grand reception, they will donate the amount to the victims of the typhoon.

Towards the end of the mass, the Jubilarians were given recognition by the EPC for their dedication and service to the young especially of DBTC.
