GUWAHATI: (INDIA) - 14th December - "There are various reasons for the growth of militancy in the North-east — political, ethnic, economic, but it is the fear of exploitation and domination that is overwhelming the North-east psyche. It is a crisis of identity, a fear of extinction", said Mr R.S Mooshahary, Director General of National Security Guards, while addressing the "Peace Initiative Convention" held under the auspices of Don Bosco Youth and Educational Services (DBYES), province of Guwahati (ING), with an organizing committee headed by Mr H N Das, former chief secretary of the sate of Assam.
