QUID PRO QUO
or mutual aid!

SUVA: 29th Sept -- The following might be of most interest to those involved in initial formation settings, but perhaps not only those.  Here at Don Bosco House, our little team of formators does its best to put together a range of courses in those topics which are listed at the end of the new Ratio as desirable content (under 'guidelines for Salesian Studies' cf Appendix 3).  We have a number of these items, obviously prepared and delivered in a local context, but sitting on disk so that they can be reusable over a cycle of years.
Surely there would be similar efforts in communities - and especially formation communities - around the region?  Also sitting on disk and ready for use again?  I am wondering if it would be possible to share some of this material, s we do not always need to be re-inventing the wheel.  We will be very happy to share what we have here - it can be sent in Word format or, if it helps, in PDF (if some of it is in other formats, such as Publisher or other); we would be equally happy to know what others have so that we could request help from those sources.
To begin the process, we have available some outlines and in mnay cases more developed contents in the following areas:  Don Bosco's spirituality - the sources; The Planning mentality of the Congregation ( a study of GC21-Gc25); educational psychology; Sociological aspects of the Pacific youth context; Don Bosco - educator in 1800's: critical reading of sources; Spiritual theology - general;  Spirituality - Francis de Sales.
We are looking for any materials that other may have in the following areas: Intro to pedagogy;Apostolic spirituality; Lay spirituality;  Don Bosc - the priest; Spirtiuality of the Consecrated Life.
I am aware that this material is all around (well, all around in many places; not necessarily all around tiny little Pacific Islands!) but what would be gratifying is to know if others have put together some courses or classes on these topics or similar ones, and have them sitting there rady for use!
