ROME: 6th July -- Fr. Luc Van Looy, the Vicar of the Rector Major, has informed us that at present the Rector Major is in the Gemelli hospital undergoing a serious operation. It would appear to be a brain tumour, but more information about that as soon as it comes to hand. There is, as Fr. Luc reports from the doctors, 'something pressing on the brain at the right temporal requiring immediate surgical intervention". Your prayers are requested.
