'They invited me...':  Salesian Bulletin Director aims to win BBC Joy or Sadness competition

SAN SALVADOR: 3rd March 2005 -- Yes, I know this one is a little out of our region (though the Central American Province has had an Australian Salesian missionary, Fr Tony DeGroot working there for many years), but this is really a human interest story that you can interact with - immediately, please, if you wish to help.
Fr Heriberto Herrera, director of the Salesian Bulletin in Central America, has entered a BBC photo competition and is amongst the ten best photos selected from around the world.  When I asked him how this came about he said (Heriberto speaks and writes excellent English) "It's a mystery why and how the BBC decided to include my photo amongst the 10 best.  I sent mine answering an invitation to take part.  The only criteria was to send one photo about joy or sadness with a text of no more than 40 words."
Now, to win, Fr Heriberto needs the world's support!  SO why not log in to the following address, and vote as invited to once you arrive there.  Heriberto will be eternally grateful! In his own words in his own language: Estoy participando en un concurso de fotografía de BBC Mundo. Mi foto ha quedado entre las diez finalistas. Se está pidiendo el voto del público. Está invitado a apoyarme con su voto. Es muy sencillo votar. Visite este sitio:

Gracias
Heriberto
