East Asia Oceania:Korea's turn for ordinations
 
SEOUL: 14th June '04 --  On 24th June, a further four priests and two deacons will be ordaind within the EAO region, this time from Korea. They will be ordained in the Salesian Parish at Ku Ro Dong by His Excellency the Most Reverend Joseph Lee Han-taek, S.J. the auxiliary bishop of Seoul.
 
To be ordained priestFr. Mark Kim Pyong-hwan. Fr. Mark's older brother, Fr. Francis Kim Ok-ju serves in the Salesian school in Northern China; Fr. Moses Yoon Man-keun; Fr. Paul Chung Ji-won: Paul's father is a graduate of the Salesian High School in Kwangju; Fr. Sebastion Lee Sei-ba. To be ordained deaconBro. Francis de Sales Na Taek-kyu and Bro. Moses Na Jong-heum.
 
While ordinations for a province are always special events, the year 2004 is extra special for the province which is celebrating its 50th anniversary of Salesian presence.  Amongst the other celebratory events this year, the province has already seen the gathering of Salesian Cooperators from the EAO Region, and is now looking forward to the visit of the Rector major, Fr. Chavez, in September.
