True Shepherd Novices now truly Salesians
From our Cebu correspondent

CEBU CITY: May 6, 2006 -- This day, the Feast of St. Dominic Savio, Gene, RJ, JM, Eson, Paul and Joji made their first Religious Profession under the banner of the Salesian Congregation. Now, they journey with Jesus in a more intimate way and lead the young to God, the Father in a more dedicated manner.
The work of the first religious profession of these six men begins immediately after they recite their vows. Committing themselves to serve the young, the poor and the abandoned, they have resolved to keep themselves youthfully holy in living out their daily lives. Be it at play, study, work or prayer, they will seek God's will in what they do and will visit the Lord in the hearts, ”the sanctuaries”of the young people they will serve.
The six would like to share some of the mottoes they have pledged to live by: in the first place, as a group: "Like a shepherd, He feeds His flock."Isaiah 40:11, We, the True Shepherd novices, sincerely thank you for generously sharing with us your presence, time, resources and prayers on the occasion of our First Religious Profession on May 6, 2006 at the Chapel of Don Bosco Missionary Seminary, Lawa-an, Talisay City, Cebu.
Then individually: "We 'your treasures', are yours forever. I will be with you till the end of time. Trust in Me." (Eugenio Raymundo Bautista Inocentes III Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila); "Your love is better than life." Psalm 63:4 (Generoso Abelarde Llenos Cebu City, Cebu); "Lord, I offer my life to you. Use it for Your glory." All That I Have (Jeffrey Lara Mangubat Calamba, Laguna); "No longer be afraid, you are My son." (Nelson Escala Munar Calamba, Laguna); "The Lord has put us in this world for others. Thank you very much." (Paul Michael Buensuceso Suarez Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila; "It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me." Gal 2:20 (Rooney John Gustilo Undar Victorias City, Negros Occidental.
Thus begin six projects of life!
