A simple, practical idea - Aussie's 'prayer' can be yours too

MELBOURNE: 17th November 2006 -- An Australian confrere, Fr. Marc Barry, has come up with a practical idea to suit his own needs and is prepared to offer that more widely.  He has taken the prayer that one finds in the Project of Life at the end of each article of the Constitutions, and adapted it appropriately so that it is not too long; short enough, in fact, to fit on a piece of card the size of a credit-card for putting in a wallet or shirt pocket.  This way he has found that he can 'pray' the Constitutions on a daily basis in the midst of a busy daily routine.  In adapting the length of the prayers, he has also taken the opportunity to make them a little more readable for their content without altering them in their essentials.
A sample of the first of nine pages is available from the What's New section on Bosconet's home page. Each page contains a month's worth of daily reflections!  They are available in two formats, one .doc (Word) the other .odt (OpenOffice or a range of other Word processing programs which prefer open formats).
You are asked to take a look at the sample and comment on whether the idea seems valuable for you. You can of course easily download the page which has been made available and use the idea in any way you wish to. Marc is just happy to share his idea with you. Comment either by email (cf below) or on BoscoWiki (cf also below).  We have no other way of knowing, you see, if people are downloading the item.  If there seems general interest, we will put up the remaining nine pages for next week - probably including the whole lot in a simple zip file.  If you want to receive them some other way, let's know.
Another confrere from the English-speaking region (not from EAO, though), is making an offer of resource materials for Bosconet.  More about that next time when we've had a chance to adapt the format for  easier use on the web.
One final matter - not sure how this particular #1691 will come through for everyone.  Controls on email by local receiving servers are becoming more and more a problem for anyone who is sending email to large numbers of people.  This time it is coming to you (or should be) via a different technology - I just hope it arrives! jbf.
