The Regional's 'Goodnight' for July

EAO July 7, 2014 -- Many will know, but some may not, that Fr Klement has adapted Don Bosco's 'goodnight' approach to one aspect of his communications with the Region.  Each month he sends out a 'Goodnight talk' addressed to all members of the Region, asking them to consider and/or pray for some particular intention, or draws people's attention to some issue.  Here is the July 'goodnight':

Please, accept today a simple invitation to pray one Hail Mary each day all for the other EAO country confreres! Each one is my brother!

AUL (Australia, Fiji, Samoa, New Zealand); CIN (Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan); FIN (Manila-Luzon, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands), FIS (Cebu, Pakistan); GIA (Japan); ITM (Indonesia, East Timor); KOR (South Korea); MYM (Myanmar); THA (Thailand, Cambodia, Laos); VIE (Mongolia, Vietnam) stretching across 22 countries!  

EAO regional vision and mission
Vision: We envision the East Asia-Oceania Region as a communion of Salesian Provinces, creatively faithful to Don Bosco’s charism and effectively collaborating with each other to be evangelizers of the young, especially those who are poor. 
Mission:  Thus, we commit ourselves:
- to inculturating the Preventive System in our Provinces 
- to cooperating in common projects such as  Formation, Youth Ministry, Salesian Family, Social Communications,  and other services 
- to showing solidarity and practical support in times of natural calamities that frequently occur in many places of the region
- to helping with formation expenses
