Prayer of thanksgiving

 

Thank you, God, for calling me

and giving me the courage to repond

to your call…

 

Thank you, God, especially

for the paths I took

at home and in the missions…

I am happy

that I followed this road…

 

Thank you God, for calling me

to the Salesian Congregation

and for sending me to proclaim the Gospel

in Far Eastern lands.

 

Mary, Help of Christians,

thank you for everything, because I know

that this is what I learned from St John Bosco, that everything I haqve achieved

is your work.

Without Mary I am nothing.

If I am not a saint I am nothing.

Prayer for the canonization of Fr Andrej Majcen:

 

O God of infinite holiness.

your faithful servant, Andrej Majcen,

missionary to China and Vietnam,

zealous Salesian and missionary,

proclaimed your Gospel

to everyone with great zeal,

especcially to the

poor and neglected amongst the young.

He climbed the mountain of holiness

with generous goodness of heart and loving kindness,

becoming a sign of your mercy

in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

We ask you in prayer you to glorify him

in our eyes

raising him to the honour of the altars.

Help us to imitate him

by worshipping you with a sincere heart.

Through his intercession

hear our prayers

in all our needs.

We pray especially for…

(intention).

May our life too be

a hymn of praise to you now and for eternity.
