Dili, Timor Leste, October 29, 2015 - Planning and Development Office (PDO) is an office, working under the umbrella of provincial economer with the specific job of taking care the quality management and reliable report for the projects as it recommended by Provincial and his council according to the priority of the province. The PDO history in Timor goes back to 2004, when with the help of one Spanish NGO first attempt were made.


In the context of ITM province, PDO mainly under the guidance of Provincial economer Fr. BasilioXimenes, SDB as the director, managed by Fr.Gui, sdb and helped by a fulltime lay accountant(Ms. Ana Ivonia) whom taking care of all financial matters, a fulltime lay staff (Ms. Eva Nini) whom taking care of all administration and the archives as well as the logistics items. PDO also employee the part time engineer (Mr. Andre SilvinoFaria) whom technically supporting all construction matters.


On this point PDO supported by a good public defensor/Lawyer (Mr.SergioHornai) paid by Government in facilitating the identification and conserving the patrimony of the province. For the Information and technology matters, the PDO ITM is supported by an Bosconian alumni (Mr. Floriano Lopes).


Soon after the handover of PDO manager from Fr. Jose Vattaparmbil, SDB, on May 5’ 2015, the PDO of ITM gradually re-identified itself and establishing its short and long term programs as the realization of its vision through a realistic and relevant mission, such as systematizing the archives, re-arrange internal policy and management, include maximizing involvement in the projects such as involvement in Enhancement Rural Access (ERA) project which funded by European Union and cooperating with International Labour Organization to train the local contractors (for the last 4 years we have trained more than 600 contractors), the PDO with help of Don Mission of Canada as well as the Government of East Timor through the Ministry of Social Solidarity PDO is renovating the house for the orphanage at Don Bosco Lospalos, while with the help of Government of Germany is cooperating cooperation to Don Bosco Mondo Germany the PDO of Don Bosco East Timor establizing another training center at Don Bosco Fatumaca.


Aside of the above mentioned activity, PDO TL also giving a hand for good planning and management in administration and finance to the Salesian Media Center (SMC) through different ways of fund raising, such as lottery, providing different religious items and even providing handbooks to different schools in East Timor as the long investment to establish Don Bosco Printing Press of East Timor.


Lately PDO TL also assigned to give the quality service and financial assistance to East Timor Roofing (ETR), an Australian roofing industry just handover to Salesian Don Bosco of East Timor on August 29’ 2015.


With the new structure and new way of approach let us support the PDO of East Timor to render the job through the good assisting in management, administration and financial for province. May the good Lord bless us all.
