Don Bosco Learning Center - Quetta, Pakistan
Quetta, Pakistan, 24 May 2018 -- Today, May 24th, Don Bosco Learning Center, Quetta was decorated in honor of Blessed Virgen Mary, Help of Christians and echoed the joyful hymns of students and teachers. This day was well prepared with a triduum when the two hostels of the girls and boys together with employees’ families, who within Don Bosco compound, animated the prayers of rosary.
The celebration of the Holy Eucharist was presided by Fr. Samuel Adnan Ghouri, who also celebrates his first anniversary of priestly ordination. The local parish priest, Fr. Riaz Dominic, OMI together with Fr. Kashif Ghouri, OMI and the rector of the house Fr. Joel Jurao, SDB concelebrated.
The Senior students animated the Holy Mass manifesting their love for Mama Mary as the pre-junior section sung the joyful hymns to God and Mary. The liturgy of Word emphasized the unique role of Mary in the life of the Church and every individual.
‘The children of Mama Mary need more than ever the divine help and a guide in the person of Blessed Virgin Mary. From the beginning of the Church, the followers of the Way faced the challenges and persecution. Let’s call on to Mary with child-like trust and love to the august Mother of God to guide and protect her Sons brethren in Pakistan as we are going through the hard times.’
The friends of Don Bosco and some Past Pupil were also present as the celebration was culminated with the solemn blessing of Blessed Mary, Help of Christians.
