Darkhan, Mongolia, 23 February 2017 -- The Salesian missionaries working at present in Mongolia gathered together to re-read, to reflect and to set a vision mission in the local (Mongolian) context from February 20-22. The moderator of the Mini-chapter was Fr. Carlo Maria Savio Villegas, SDB. The members who participated in the chapter are; Fr. PAUL Leung (Delegate of Mongolia), Fr. Andrew Tin Nguyen, Fr. Jaroslav Vracovský, Bro. Kristof Gniazdowski, Fr. Simon Lee, Fr. Nguyen Manh Dat Joseph, Fr. Antony Kishore Minj, Fr. Mario Gasper dos Santos.
The three days reflection and sharing was on the theme of the General Chapter 27 "Witness to the Radical approach of the Gospel" - work (service) and temperance (virtue).
Three topics: 1. Living the Primacy of God by contemplating what happens each day and by following Christ, 2. Building up authentic communities through relationships and work accordance with Family (fraternal) Spirit, 3. Putting ourselves more decisively and significantly at the Service of the poorest of the young was deeply and profoundly evaluated and discussed in Mongolian mission context.
At the end of the session the Salesians were able to come up with Organic Delegation plan which is to be finalized in the coming months. It was successful and fruitful meeting. The delegation of Mongolia expresses its heartfelt gratitude to all those who accompanied them through their prayers during these days. The missionaries working in Mongolia are very optimistic and enthusiastic and full of passion to fulfill the task or mission entrusted to them by the Salesian congregation.
