50 Video-interviews coming soon

EAO, 18 July 2018 -- 2018 EAO Salesian Brother Congress is coming soon very fast, from today on only 22 days ahead of us. One of the expected fruits of EAO Congress is the visibility of Salesian Brother. First of the EAO provinces - the mother Province of China - already share their video-interviews with three Brothers online.

There are good news from all other 11 EAO provinces, that the Brothers of the Social Communication services 'are working on' the video production. Today was also done the highly professional video shooting at the General House in Rome (Sacro Cuore) with Br. Roberto Narvaez (Obet) who is present offering his services as guide in the famous Catacombs of San Callisto in Rome. We pray for all Salesian Brother video editors around the Region.

From the interview of Brother Paul Li (CHINA PROVINCE)

"In the last year of my studies, in a retreat every graduate had to talk with the principal. Fr. Haselsteiner asked me if I would join the Salesians, “Yes” I replied. “A priest or a brother?” “I do not want to be a priest, but a brother instead.” “Okay, write an application for novitiate.”

After I have become a Salesian brother, I often keep these words in my mind, Don Bosco once said: “It is enough for me that you are young, you are my friends”. I try my best to imitate Don Bosco to love the young. Whatever they need, I devote my best to help them..."

Whatever I do, I do it for the good of the others. In everything I do like watching students, playing, I want them to be joyful, to be good and well-disciplined then guide them to find God.

My wish is that our Salesian Brothers keep on enriching themselves in academics and skills, even a university degree. Then they are capable of teaching our students. On the other hand, instead of giving way to studies, we should not overlook our spiritual formation, especially this is our duty and the requirements of Constitutions.
