Piara Waters, Perth, Western Australia, 6 May 2020 -- Today, May 6, on the Feast Day of St Dominic Savio, one of our House Patrons at St John Bosco College, we are delighted to name our new building in his honour as the Savio Arts and Technology Learning Centre.
This new building will give students the opportunity to experience elements of Design & Technologies and The Arts. These include Woodwork, Metalwork, Robotics, Engineering, Textiles, Food Production, Digital Technologies, Visual Art, Media Art, Dance, Drama, Music and Italian.
During this Feast Day, students from Kindergarten to Year 7 who are at the College or working online at home learned about St Dominic Savio and his connection to St John Bosco. Some of our students spent time researching interesting facts about St Dominic Savio and created posters about his life.
