Macau, 24 July 2018 -- In their secod step of the DB Alumni animation visit, Mr Alberto Piedade and Mr. Angel Gudiña, were warmly welcomed by the Past Pupils of Macau, whose Federation was created in 1983. The World Confederation visitors were received by the President of the Executive Council, Mr Joao Baptista Manuel Leao and the National Delegate, Fr. Joseph Chow, rector as well of Istituto Salesiano, and some other relevant members of the national board such as Mr. Roque. Mr Jorge and Mr. Nelson Wong.

During a working lunch the Macau Federation presented the state of art of all the three Associations (Unit-Chapter) active in Macau and the new projects, with special emphasis on the young Past Pupils (GEX), very active in the Istituto Salesiano (Salesian School - since 1906), and also their recent changes in their Statute.

After the formal meeting, the Secretary of the Federation, Mr Jorge, took the World Confederation representatives on a tour to several of the Salesian Houses of Macau (Yuet Wah College and Yuet Wah - Colegio Dom Bosco) and also to the historical centre for some sightseeing.

In the evening, the big gathering took place with many all the Presidents of Local Unions, but especially with a very active group of young Past Pupils, who are already organising activities for other youth in the Salesian Houses of Macau. We had time to get to know their motivations and expectations and to present the Strategic Plan of the World Confederation and the activities that are being settled by Alberto as GEX Councillor for Asia. A very fruitful and encouraging meeting in which we mix Portuguese and English.
