Suva, Fiji, 31 January 2019 -- In the morning of the Feast of Saint John Bosco, the 31st of January 2019, Bro. Damian Taofinuu, Bro. Sefilino Tiatele, Bro. Foua Junior Tea Peato and Bro. Sitagisilao Moeloa renewed their vows in the presence of the Provincial Fr. William Matthews and the whole community in Suva and our visiting confreres (Fr. James Adayadiel, Fr. George and Fr. William). It was a celebration of thanksgivings Fr Provincial gave thanks to God for these four Brothers who committed themselves anew as sons of Don Bosco.

On the evening of the feast of Don Bosco Fr. William Matthews (Provincial) began the Eucharistic Celebration with a warm welcome to the many people who gathered to witness the first profession of Bro. Afi’a Enosa, to give thanks to God for Bro. Stan Rossato’s 50 years of dedicated service as a Salesian Brother, for 20 years of Salesian presence in Fiji and 40 years in Samoa. This was a very special day also because it was also the first anniversary of the newly founded Parish of St. John Bosco, the new parish centre was blessed This was indeed a day of great joy and thanksgiving, a day of celebration that included the traditional Fijian kava ceremony, the parish youth performing cultural dances from different Pacific islands, a meal together, and an evening together with the parishioners and many friends of the Salesians
