SocialWork

(:nl:)Social Work is not an indifferent area to the Salesian work. In their mission of education and evangelization? and their works with the most poor social groups of countries, Salesians have often to see with this new social science. Social Work has to see with help and advance people with difficulties in many areas. The Salesian works in the Australasia Region, as in other continents, cover a vast dimension of social groups in relation with children? and youth?: Street children?, Trafficked children?, Prostitution?, Young drug abussers?, Abandoned children?, Orphans?, Abused children?, Poor youth? and others that conduct to a deep and complex social reallity in every nation. For this reason, it has been necessary that Salesians get professionals in social work and they themselves become a sort of social work without forget that the identity and the Salesian Mission? itself.
