AustralasiaRegion(:nl:) AustraLasia is the name of a region that was created in 2002. No - in fact australasia was the name of the region that existed briefly before 2002! The name of the region now is East Asia-Oceania, but there's no surprise that people still get it wrong both inside and outside the region! A little study I did by investigating province handbooks around the English-speaking region over the past six years revealed the fact that almost nobody outside the region got it right when listing the Salesian regions in the early pages of their handbook or yearbook, and some of the provinces inside the region also got it wrong!
