Bosconet-wikiQuestions

(:nl:)Are there things about Bosconet-wiki that you can't understand? Here are some basics. You can also refer to the 'Show Help' button above or go to the PmWIki material on the sidebar.

FORMATING

Is there an easier way to format your input? Or do you have to use the (parenthesis) with different symbols?

Actually, the formatting is pretty easy once you practise it once or twice :-) For the simplest formatting purposes all you need are:

* a blank line if you want a new paragraph * an asterisk (*) if you want a dot point/bullet * two single quote marks ('') either side of a word if you want it in italics * three single quote marks (''') either side of a word if you want it bold * double square brackets either side of a word if you want to create a link to a new page, for example: link to new page? will produce something like this: link to new page? * double square brackets either side of an existing link and a word(s) seperated by a (|) if you want to create link to your existing link, for example: word(s)? (where "link to new page" is a url (website address) and word(s) are name of the link. if you want to direct us to a link outside, i.e. outside of Boscowiki, www etc is not enough. You need to put ==http://== in front of that.

ADDING COLOUR

If you would like a little colour in your editing, use a wikistyle in the following way:

* Percentage signs (%) with a colour included, e.g. produces red for the rest of this line.

If you only want one word coloured, then before the next word put two (in other words no colour in between). So, this word only is lime coloured. (Look at the markup in the editing section to see how it is done).

You can use black, grey, red, blue, green, maroon, lime, yellow....you can also use colour on backgrounds, e.g " a green text" will give " a green text"

CREATING TABLES

Have a look at this page.

There's more, much more you can do - go to the PmWiki material on the sidebar and read up in the documentation how you can combine the above ideas, use 'scope' and so forth.

Hope this helps
