CSJ Kwanju Province, 12 February 2021 -- On the same day, 2nd February 2021, Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, professions of Caritas Sisters of Jesus in Korea were celebrated at the 'Mother-house' in Gwangju with two first and two perpetual professions.

During the 6:40 morning Eucharist two Caritas Sisters made their first vows and three other Sisters held a renewal of vows liturgy celebrated by Fr Francis Kim Ok-joo, SDB (Rector of Gwangju Il-Gog-Dong community).

During the 10:30 AM Eucharist the Auxiliary Bishop of Gwagnju Archdiocese, Simon Hyun-jin Ok, celebrated the liturgy and the Profession Ceremony of the final profession of two Caritas Sisters.

The profession celebrations each year are a time of prayer and heartfelt blessing, giving thanks for the sisters who live and share the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus for their whole lifetime. Although many more Sisters and the parish communities with the families were not able to join the liturgy in Gwangju, they were united in spirit!

The Caritas Sisters of Jesus have 3 provinces in South Korea, with more than 400 members, while the whole Congregation of pontifical right (since 1998) is present in 16 countries of Asia, Oceania, Africa, Europe and America with almost 1000 members.
