'+Description+': The motivations for Project Europe included a direct request to GC26 by Pope Benedict XVI to help revitalise the faith in Europe. The Rector Major and his Council subsequently defined the nature and objectives of the Congregation's intervention on behalf of a renewed Salesian presence in Europe. The areas of the Project were identified in the Meeting of the European Provincials. They indicate the three priority choices of the Project and regard: the re-vitalisation from within of the Salesian presence, the re-location and re-structuring of the presences, the re-enforcing of the more needy Provinces with Salesian personnel. The interventions of the Project refer to three different levels: the Rector Major and the General Council, the Regions, the Provinces.

'+Context (examples of use)+': "The point was made that it was necessary that Project Europe should be better known by the whole Congregation. It should be remembered, in fact, that this is not Project on behalf of Europe, but of a commitment in which Europe has its specific role and in which, however, all the Provinces of the Congregation are involved". (:zapend:) (:zapform key=Type:) '''Term type''' ('EntryTerm' ''if no other applies)'' (1) (2) [Initialisms like AGC are regarded as acronyms; a term like 'Bro.' is an abbreviation; an example of short form instead would be the main part of a very long book title (most of DB's book titles! 'Giovane Provveduto' is a short form). A loan term is not translated whereas a calque is.
