The Rector Major and his Council subsequently defined the nature and objectives of the Congregation's intervention on behalf of a renewed Salesian presence in Europe. The areas of the Project were identified in the Meeting of the European Provincials. They indicate the three priority choices of the Project and regard: the re-vitalisation from within of the Salesian presence, the re-location and re-structuring of the presences, the re-enforcing of the more needy Provinces with Salesian personnel. The interventions of the Project refer to three different levels: the Rector Major and the General Council, the Regions, the Provinces.
