Makati City – The “Youth Serving Youth: A Bukas Palad Benefit Concert” for the Salesian Youth Movement was held on February 17, 2018 at the Braga Auditorium of Don Bosco Technical Institute Makati City.
Attended by Salesians, friends, family members, and benefactors, the concert ushered in the 30th Anniversary of the Salesian Youth Movement in the Philippines.
The Bukas Palad Music Ministry is one of the country’s top contemporary worship musical group. Amidst their busy schedule, they were more than willing to accept the invitation to take part in this milestone in the Salesian Youth Movement’s history.
The group performed their classic hits such as ‘If I Could Touch You’, ‘Your Heart Today’, and ‘I will Sing Forever.’ They also shared beautiful points of reflection so that the audience could also take time for reflection. The evening truly became an evening of prayer and music.
The St. John Bosco Chorale served as the front act of the concert. They performed ‘Da Mihi Animas,’ the theme song of the bicentenary of the birth of St. John Bosco.
Organized by the leaders and animators of Salesian Youth Movement of the Philippine North Province with the help and support of the friends and benefactors, this concert was a big step for the SYM and was a reminder that we can dream big dreams for the youth and make them happen.
With deepest gratitude, Salesian Youth Movement extends their deepest and sincerest gratitude to all those who made this event possible.
