Surabaya, INA, 24 May 2025 -- The Solemnity of Mary Help of Christians brought a truly historic day to the Salesian community in Surabaya. The evening began with a solemn Mass, led by Fr. Andres Calleja Ruiz, SDB, during which five individuals took their promises, becoming the first-ever members of the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA) in Surabaya.

Fr. Calleja enthusiastically shared his vision for the future, declaring, "This year we have five; let us pray that next year the number will multiply to 10, 15, or 50!" The sentiment was echoed by Mrs. Fanglie, a newly inducted ADMA member, who expressed, "I am really happy to become a member of the Salesian Family; we are family now!" Four representatives from ADMA Jakarta traveled to Surabaya to witness this significant and heartfelt event.

The celebrations continued as Fr. Andres blessed Rumah Nazareth (the House of Nazareth), a newly renovated building dedicated to fostering devotion to Mary Help of Christians and the Holy Family. We offer our prayers that both the ADMA members in Surabaya and all devotees of Mary Help of Christians will flourish and bear much fruit in this city.
