Vietnam, 25 May 2025 -- With hearts full of profound gratitude, the Salesians of Don Bosco Province of Vietnam are pleased to announce a deeply meaningful and significant event: The Mass of Ordination to the Diaconate and Priesthood in 2025.
This is a precious grace that God has graciously bestowed upon our Province, the fruit of many years of dedicated study and formation, and above all, of the unceasing prayer of the entire Salesian Family and our generous benefactors and friends.
With the approval of the Provincial, Father Barnaba Lê An Phong, and his Council, and after consulting with relevant Superiors, we are delighted to announce the list of candidates who are prepared to receive Sacred Orders this year:
A. Candidates for Diaconate (07 confreres):
- Bro. Simon Pham Nguyen Anh Khoa, SDB
- Bro. Martino Pham Duy Long, SDB
- Bro. Peter Nguyen Duy Phuong, SDB
- Bro. Paul Nguyen Trung Sang, SDB
- Bro. Joseph Bui Cong Thien, SDB
- Bro. Vincent Nguyen Van Thu, SDB
- Bro. Michael Nguyen Hoang Tuan, SDB
B. Candidates for Priesthood (08 deacons):
- Rev. Peter Nguyen Cong Chinh, SDB
- Rev. Peter Nguyen Dinh Chung, SDB
- Rev. Dominic Do Dang Khoa, SDB
- Rev. John Nguyen Mai Dang Khoa, SDB
- Rev. John Baptist Nguyen Trong Nhan, SDB
- Rev. John Baptist Nguyen Duy Quang, SDB
- Rev. Dominic Le Hoang Truong Son, SDB
- Rev. Joseph Nguyen Toan Thuc, SDB
In total, 15 new ministers will be chosen by God and ordained through the laying on of hands by the Bishop, as they begin their journey of service to God's people, especially youth and the poor, according to the Salesian charism.
The Rite of Ordination will be solemnly celebrated by His Excellency, Bishop Jonh Baptist Nguyen Huy Bac, Ordinary of the Diocese of Ban Me Thuot.
