Samphran, Thailand, 7 May 2025 -- Br John Bosco Passakorn Phayattrakul, Br Paul Weerachat Kongthundee and Br Weeradet Khodwichian made their first profession of vows as Salesians of Don Bosco on May 1st, at Savio House, Sampran, Nakhon Pathom.
Fr Anthony Boonlert Paneetatthayasai, provincial, received their vows, made for one year in accordance with the Salesian Constitutions.
Twenty-five Salesian priests concelebrated. Members of the Salesian Family, the past pupils and the relatives of the three newly professed confreres came to give thanks to the Lord and to give encouragement to them. Total attendance was about 150.
The three new brothers made their year of novitiate (2024-2025) at the Novitiate House in Samphran, Nakorn Pathom, under the guidance of Fr. Anusit Chanphen, director of novices.
At one point in his homily, Fr Boonlert shared his reflection on the crucial aspects of Salesian consecrated life, which the newly professed Salesians will join in fraternal love and mission with approximately 13,000 confreres around the world. The newly professed Salesians must also be responsible for remaining faithful to their religious vows, the Salesian charism, and spirituality.
We continue to pray for the three brothers that they may continue to live their Religious Profession and grow in the Salesian Vocation to be signs and bearers of God’s Love to the young, day by day.
