CIN Hong Kong – 4 February 2025 -- the 7th day of the New Lunar Year of the Snake is considered the birthday of each human person. Fr Domingos Leong, the Provincial Superior, led 50 Salesian confreres of Hong Kong and Macau territories in celebrating Salesian Day 2025 of the Mary Help of Christians Province of China held at the Salesian Missionary House. They were blessed with the active presence of five young Aspirants together with some Lay Mission Partners in this momentous event.

They started the gathering with tea time; chatting and blessing each other spontaneously; the older generation gave ‘red pockets’ to younger ones as part of a traditional token of blessing. The games added colour to the festivity followed by the community photo-taking.

Fr Domingos solemnly blessed the newly transferred and renovated Provincial Office, Youth Ministry and Social Communication Office, Salesian Board of Education & Central Secretariat, and Salesian Spirituality Centre. At the heart of the fellowship, he led the Evening Prayer with Adoration and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. As he greeted and blessed each one, he encouraged those present to learn how to communicate – to dialogue and to use their words in a better way. He urged everyone to continue to be grateful to and pray for the benefactors, who made renovation work a reality. They again gathered around the table for supper, with fun and informative games and songs, and they exchanged gifts and blessings.
