Apia, Samoa, 29 January 2025 -- The Don Bosco Technical Centre Samoa launched the 2025 academic year with a dynamic Teacher’s Orientation Program on 27/01/2025. The day began with Principal Fonomaitu Mane Sua warmly welcoming all staff, emphasizing the importance of collaboration, commitment, and the Salesian spirit in their mission.
An inspiring Mass, with Fr Bernie as the main celebrant and Fr Paselio concelebrating, followed. It set a reflective tone for the year and encouraged everyone to emulate Don Bosco’s dedication to the young. The teachers then introduced themselves, fostering camaraderie and a sense of shared purpose among the team.
One of the key moments of the day was Fr Bernie’s insightful presentation on the 2025 Salesian Strenna, "Anchored in Hope, Pilgrims with Young People," which inspired the staff to weave its themes into their daily interactions and responsibilities.
After a short break, the program concluded with a compound cleaning activity, a symbolic gesture of teamwork and collective readiness for the year ahead. This orientation not only prepared the staff for the challenges of the academic year but also reinforced their commitment to the Salesian mission of forming upright citizens and good Christians.
