Moamoa (Apia), Samoa, 16 December 2024 -- On Sunday, 15 December 2024, the Salesian Family and faithful of Moamoa Village gathered with great joy to celebrate the First Mass of Fr Anh Vu Nguyen at Mary Help of Christians Parish. This significant occasion marked a milestone in Fr Anh Vu's priestly journey, uniting the community in prayer, gratitude, and celebration. The Mass was graced by the presence of the Salesians of Don Bosco in Samoa, including the Provincial and his council. Their participation underscored the importance of this moment for the Salesian mission in the region and the broader Salesian Family.
Following the Eucharistic celebration, the parish community of Moamoa, led by the Parish Priest Fr Antonio Lealea, hosted a feast to honor Fr Anh Vu. The celebration reflected the vibrant spirit of the Samoan culture, bringing together parishioners, Salesians, and the local Vietnamese community. The Moamoa Youth Group, joined by Fr Provincial and the Vietnamese community in Samoa, entertained the gathering with lively performances.
