Bangkok, Thailand, 4 November 2024 -- The Salesian Family School in Thailand participated in the Don Bosco 2024 Global Youth Film Festival and won 6 awards. Inspired by the festival's slogan ‘I have a dream: young people and climate change’, the films addressed youth commitment to environmental care.

In addition, each school and religious institute of the Salesian Family organized a screening of the short films for its members and students. Although most of our schools could not screen the films on October 17-18, when the competition results were announced, due to the school holidays in Thailand, they were postponed to the start of the school year at the end of October 2024 instead. This attracted a lot of attention from teachers and students. At the same time, the students who produced the short films were proud that their films helped encourage their peers to be more aware of taking care of the planet, our common home.
