Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes, Cebu City, The Philippines, 25 October 2024 -- The different volunteers and ministers of this parish gathered last October 22, 2024, Tuesday 7:30 PM for a parish formation on "Commitment in Service". The talk was given by Rev. Fr. Erwin Joey Cabilan, SDB. He emphasized that all servers are chosen and called to serve for the Lord. Around 300 participants gathered inside the shrine both young and old.

Fr. Cabilan began his talk by inviting participants to a drawing activity that checks up on their server's heart. He then outlined the beauty of God's call or vocation to serve the Christian community and the Eucharist. He made participants recognize the human failings and limits of service and the corresponding grace and empowerment by God.

The talk is part of the continuous formation of lay people from mandated organizations, associations, and youth groups who give their time and talent to the Church. The Church continues to promote lay empowerment and the Christian vocation.
