Clifton Hill (Melbourne), 10 September 2024 -- Salesian confreres Carlos Gusmao and Cirilo Julio Boavida made their renewal of vows in the presence of local parishioners and the Salesian Family during the Eucharistic celebration presided over by Father Phil Gleeson (Vice-Provincial), concelebrated by Father Cassius Correya (Parish Priest), Father Anthony Dung (Rector), Father Marcello (Provincial-elect of Korean), Father Peter Varengo (Assistant Parish Priest), and Father Barry Tobin, a diocesan priest.

The parishioners were able to witness a Salesian renewal of vows for the first time in the church. The confreres prepared hymns that added a diverse touch to the special celebration.

Cirilo and Carlos are currently studying theology at Catholic Theological College in Melbourne, Australia. They are also members of the Clifton Hill Formation Community under the leadership of Father Anthony Dung and formators. The celebration was concluded with a community lunch.

Let us keep Cirilo and Carlos in our prayers as they continue to discern the will of God in their lives and their journey as promising Salesians for the future.
