INA Vive Province, 09 August 2024 - Fr. Joseph Nguyen Thinh Phuoc, as EAO regional superior, once expressed his joy for the Salesian vocations in Indonesia. He said that the Salesians in Indonesia have to thank God because there are still new vocations in Indonesia. This is a sign that God loves the Salesian congregation working in Indonesia. This expression of joy was conveyed by Fr. Joseph after the installation of Fr. Vincentius Prastowo as the new superior provincial of INA Vice Province on July 30th. Fr. Joseph's words made the Salesians remember Fr. Jose Carbonell, who once expressed his wish to see many young Indonesians become Salesians.
For this year 2024, the INA Vice Province is grateful to God for having 6 new novices in Tigaraksa Novitiate. They officially started their novitiate on August 1, 2024. They have also started their retreat guided by Fr. Andang. Meanwhile, the Don Bosco Sumba community also received 10 new pre-novices and 7 new aspirants. They are coming from the islands of Java, Flores, and Timor.
