Hua Hin, Thailand, 29 July 2024 -- From 26-28 July 2024, the Commission on Salesian Schools in Thailand, under the chairmanship of Fr Smith Daengampan, together with the heads of the various Salesian schools, organized a seminar for new teachers and personnel at the Salesian Retreat House in Huahin, Prachuabkhirikhan. 52 teachers joined this seminar under the theme "The Preventive System of Don Bosco”.

The seminar began on the evening of 26 July 2024. Fr Boonlert Paneetatthayasai, the Provincial Superior, presided over the opening ceremony. The main speaker of this seminar was Fr. Banchong Santisukniran, SDB. He lead the teachers to understand the history, the roots and the core of the educational method of Don Bosco, namely, reason, religion and loving kindness. By working together with the Salesians in each institute, the teachers can help the young to be good citizens of the nation and upright follower of their religion.

Making Salesian youth participate in mangrove planting activities and releasing baby crabs is another form of training to make them aware of their duty to jointly care for the earth and the environment, which is the home where we live together.
