Worldwide, 16 May 2023 -- As with every year, these 9 days before the Novena to Mary Help of Christians are a very special time of grace, prayer, common reflection and spiritual animation for the whole Salesian Family. Thanks to the already established 'Salesian system' of preparing for this 24 May Solemnity in the family, most of the EAO provinces are ready to follow the proposed novena videos made this year on the 'Yeast' Strenna theme of the Rector Major - with their translation in respective EAO languages, like the Korean version already online (www.ibosco.net) or distributed through the Salesian Family WhatsApp or other SNS groups in each province.
Each of the 9 videos (15 minutes each) brings us to Valdocco, Basilica Mary Help of Christians, with a brief and profound comment by the Rector Major,followed this year by the Past Pupils of Don Bosco heartfelt testimonies from all corners of the Salesian world. The final part of each meditation indicates a pilgrimage to the most significant Marian shrines around all continents.
